A WhatsApp account will be used on four devices

Gone is the multi-device support feature

It has been rumored since the middle of last year that the popular chatting platform WhatsApp is working on a multi-device support feature, which will allow users to login to their WhatsApp account from multiple devices. But despite a series of new updates over the months, no one has seen the feature except for a handful of iOS beta users. However, the newest news says that a giant surprise is coming back soon! In fact, WhatsApp-related news channel WABetaInfo reported in its latest report that Facebook-owned messaging medium has now submitted a new update (version 2.21.30.18) to the iOS beta program; If this update is rolled out, iOS beta users will be able to use the same WhatsApp account on many devices at the same time (like Facebook).

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is introducing two different ways to use the multi-device feature. One is the integration of multi-devices with the WhatsApp web and the other is the integration of multi-devices with other devices. Multi-devices and WhatsApp web links allow users to use the 'WhatsApp Web' from an internet browser without the original device. In case of interconnection between the devices, you will be able to use the same WhatsApp account on three more devices besides the original device, i.e. a total of four devices at once. WABetaInfo shared a video on how to use this feature.

According to the video, after the feature becomes available, instead of the ‘Delete Account’ option, you will get an option called ‘Log out’ on WhatsApp. With this option you can easily unlink or log out your WhatsApp account from the original device. However, it remains to be seen whether there is any moving or copying option for transferring account data within the Linked Device option.

During the feature test, both WhatsApp versions - WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business - have seen this new feature work seamlessly. As a result, it is safe to say that WhatsApp is working very hard to develop this new feature. But the discomfort is that there is still no information on exactly when this multi-device support will be available to all stable WhatsApp users.
